As we commemorate the 57th Anniversary of Bloody Sunday in Selma, Alabama where Black protesters demanding the right to vote were beaten by police and the 50th Anniversary of Bloody Sunday in Derry, Northern Ireland where 13 unarmed demonstrators were killed as they protested the British policy of internment, Deon and Glenn's conversation dives deep into a perpetual fight to make change, the connectivity of movements, and the promise of the future. This series includes subjects that are culturally important and made to inspire and enhance humanity, while building on PUMA’s #REFORM platform, which supports universal equality. “Is Anyone Listening?”, is a quote by Olympian Tommie Smith years after his silent protest during the 1968 Olympic Games, where he risked everything to stand up for universal equality. He expressed his disbelief that so many years after his silent protest on the Olympic podium, racism was still an issue around the world.
